OPEN CALL
Project: LOGOGRAPHERS. IN MOTION
Dates:  324 August 2015
Organiser: The Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole
Deadline for sending applications à by 27 June 2015

The Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole is recruiting participants for the project titled LOGOGRAPHERS. IN MOTION, which shall be carried out in the period 3–24 August 2015. Applications for participation in the Project may be submitted by visual artists – from Poland and from other countries – who employ various forms of artistic expression, with a particular emphasis on those of documentary nature. The task of the artists selected via a competition will be to prepare (on the basis of the documentation of Project activities) a multimedia publication (to be placed on the Internet) and elements of an exhibition.

There is no fixed form in which Project activities are to be recorded and the main criterion for selecting the participants for the project LOGOGRAPHERS. IN MOTION shall be the originality and consistency of their concept of conducting documentation activities.
The chief part of the Project shall be intensive motion workshops conducted by professional instructors. Each of those workshops shall end in an open show. An important element of the artistic activities pursued by the persons qualified for participation in the Project shall be cooperation with the instructors conducting the motion workshops with a view to documenting those workshops.
An integral part of the Project is an exhibition to be created in the course of Project implementation – through interaction with space during motion workshops (e.g. marks on the walls, mental maps, visualisations) and as a result of the free interpretation of logographers’ activities by visual artists. The exhibition will be displayed at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole until 30 August 2015.
